The BSCTC Testing Centers are located on the Prestonsburg Campus (M218), the Pikeville Campus (N216), and the Mayo Campus (Building C). The Testing Center administers all COMPASS and ASSET assessments, as well as other tests and assessments as needed.

9:00 a.m.  &  1:00 p.m.
Mayo
Monday, 8:00am – 2:30pm

The Prestonsburg Campus Testing Center is also an authorized Pearson VUE Test Center. For more information about VUE testing, visit the Pearson website at http://www.pearsonvue.com .

Proctored testing: Please phone for appointment.  Students should not wait until the last test date to take the exam in the event of computer problems.
Faculties are responsible for sending passwords and instructions to the Testing Center before the test date.  606-886-4802

Test proctoring is available for students taking face-to-face classes, as well as students enrolled in online courses through distance learning programs.

A valid photo id is required for all testing services (such as a Driver’s License).

Students interested in preparing to take the COMPASS placement assessment may do so by either
A: Visiting the CER on your campus to obtain packets of review materials;
B: Visiting the links below and working through sample items; or
C: Attending a COMPASS Preparation Workshop offered at BSCTC.  These workshops are offered each month FREE of charge to all those interested in attending.
